Blake
Spears is a founder and principal of InSight Healthcare and has
eighteen years of experience in working with clients in the healthcare
industry. Blake has managed projects in a wide variety of pharmaceutical
products and medical devices involving extensive market research for the
purpose of market assessment and/or positioning new products in a variety
of clinical areas.
Typical outcomes have included target market definition, definition of key product attributes, estimated market penetration, market size analysis, clinical application scenario, pricing strategies, market communications testing, customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Blake has moderated over 150 focus groups and conducted thousands of in-depth interviews with clinicians and opinion leaders. Blake's academic credentials include a B.S. in chemical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Helen
Young, MD has dual strengths in medicine and business. She has
been consulting in the medical industry for the past 5 years to medical
device, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical companies. In the 9 years before
becoming a consultant, she held management positions in clinical research,
marketing, and medical affairs, including Vice President of Marketing
of a genetic resources company, and Medical Director of an airway device
company.
In these capacities, she has led meetings and conducted interviews with leading clinical thought leaders in anesthesiology, cardiology, and genetics. Prior to entering the business world, she was an emergency medicine physician for 10 years. Helen has a BS and MD from University of Illinois, and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley.
Kathy
Harrison-Rockey has over twelve years of healthcare experience.
She held the position as Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services
at the UCSF Medical Center, with budgeting and management responsibility
for a staff of thirty-five. Kathy also worked in marketing at Guidant
Corporation, the market leader in interventional cardiology technology.
Kathy has extensive experience in primary and secondary market research techniques and has worked with InSight Healthcare Consulting for seven years. She has co-authored over 40 market research studies in a variety of clinical areas, including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, trauma, and anesthesia. Kathy holds a B.S. from the Medical College of Virginia, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
